Location
Located in the northern Shenandoah Valley, Shenandoah County is set against a backdrop of the beautiful Allegheny and Blue Ridge Mountains. It is only in Shenandoah County that one can see the magnificent seven bends of the Shenandoah River.

The location of Shenandoah County in the northern gateway of the Shenandoah Valley is among our key assets to industry.  The northern end of the county provides easy access to northern and Washington, D.C. markets.  We provide easy access to the Virginia Inland Port and to the Winchester Regional Airport. 

Shenandoah County is located along the Interstate-81 corridor.  Washington, D.C. is 90 minutes east of the county, with Interstate 66 access within a few miles of the county line. Richmond, the state capital, is 153 miles southeast of Shenandoah County.
